SHOOTING RANGE RULES
Global firearm trainers reserve the right to refuse range access to anyone
1. General Conduct
- Complete the Shooting Range Register on arrival. The indemnity is in the register – read and understand it.
- RO (Range Officer) commands are final. No exceptions.
- The RO controls the range at all times.
- No alcohol or narcotics allowed on the range.
- Under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Expecting mothers are not allowed on the range.
2. Firearm Handling & Safety
- Eye and ear protection are mandatory for all shooters and spectators.
- Firearms must stay in a bag or case until you are on the firing line under RO supervision.
- Do not handle firearms outside of designated shooting areas.
- Firearms not in use must remain unloaded and secured.
- Only load or unload inside your booth.
- Never load with anyone in front of you.
- Always point firearms in a safe direction.
- Do not turn around with a loaded firearm on the firing line.
- Only range staff may go forward of the firing line.
- For malfunctions, keep the firearm pointed downrange, raise your hand, and wait for the RO.
- Never remove a loaded firearm from the range. Lay it down safely and notify staff.
3. Shooting Conduct
- Shooting starts only on the RO’s command.
- Only shoot at approved targets directly at the backstop.
- No cross-firing or shooting at range signs or equipment.
- Stick to the designated direction of fire. No exceptions.
- Use only approved calibres on the designated range.
- Tracer ammunition is not allowed.
- No food, drink, or smoking allowed on the range or anywhere in the building.
- Wear appropriate clothing:
No flip-flops, open shoes, or revealing tops. (Ladies: closed tops required due to brass burns).
4. INSPECTION, LIABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Range staff may inspect firearms or ammunition at any time.
- You are responsible for any damage you cause to equipment, targets, or facilities.
- Always act responsibly and safely.
- If you witness a violation or unsafe behaviour, report it to the RO immediately.
5. NON-COMPLIANCE
Breaking any of the above may result in:
- Immediate removal from the range
- Loss of future access
- Liability for damages or non-compliance
